Peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 19th, 2000, Lorne Armitage of London Township in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Joyce (Turner) Armitage. Dear father of Frances and her husband Leonard Meharg of London, Barbara and her husband Donald Glassford of Harley and David Armitage and his wife Julie of London Township. Predeceased by his son Richard Armitage (1958). Dear brother of Wilmer Armitage of Thamesford. Predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. At Four Counties Health Service, Newbury on Thursday, July 20, 2000, Mr. George Arnold of Sarnia in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Woodburn) Arnold. Loving father of Ruth-Ann (Szmiett) and her husband Jeff of Watford, Marion (Burr) and her husband Ray of Stratford, Wendy McLellan and her husband Bud of London, Karen Carpenter and her partner John Duke of London, Dianna Clark and her husband Bruce of Appin, Steven and his wife Mary Mead of B.C., Shelley Mead-Whitworth of London, Douglas Mead and his partner Yvonne Burt of London. Mary Gladys Brown of RR#3 Tillsonburg, passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, July 19, 2000 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Brown. Dear mother of Jean Bell of RR#3, Tillsonburg. Grandmother of George Ronson and his wife Janet of RR#3 Tillsonburg and Chere Clark of Arizona. Greatgrandmother of Jacquline, Suzanne and Troy. Predeceased y a son George Brown. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at the Ostrander's Funeral Home, Tillsonburg with Rev. Douglas Moore officiating. BUTCHER
At the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, July 19th 2000. Mary Josephine (Mitchell) Butcher of RR#4, St. Thomas in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Horton and dearly loved mother of Jill (Van) Hotton of Shedden and the late June (Van) O'Meara. Dear sister of Charles and his wife Jean Mitchell of England. Predeceased by a number of other brothers and sisters. Loved grandmother of Christopher O'Meara, Tara, Martin, Tony and Meileah Tekare. Mary is also lovingly remembered by a nephew Bill and his wife Lida Ainsworth, London and by a special friend Frank "Hank" Hakin, St. Thomas. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas until Friday afternoon and then to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 436 Elm Street, St. Thomas, where funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Elmdale Cemetery. Beloved wife of the late Portus Case (1982) and dear mother of Volley Case of Strathroy. Grandmother of Jo-Anne Case of Staffa and her friend John Wiles and Patty Carter and her husband Jimmy of Woodham. Great-grandmother of Holly, Sarah, Amanda and Adam. Predeceased by her brother Charlie Alexander and sisters Jessie Alexander and Agnes Perry. Resting at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22nd at 11 A.M. Rev. Charles Seed officiating. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. After a courageous battle with cancer at his home on Thursday, July 20, 2000 Mr. Duncan Arnold Congdon in his 59th year. Beloved husband of Mrs. Lauraine Congdon (nee Griffin). Loving father of Shirley-Ann and her husband John Hart. David Congdon and his wife Lorrine. Loving son of Bernice Congdon. Dear grandfather of Joseph, Justin, Ann-Marie, Tyler, Derrik and Alexandria. Also survived by brother William and sister Joan Cronkwright. Predeceased by his father Albert Congdon. Visitation in the Lloyd R. At London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus on Tuesday, July 18, 2000 in her 89th year. Dorothy, beloved wife of the late Anson Delbert Dale (1968). Daughter of the late William and Bertha (Ling) Swindell. Loving mother of Jean and her husband Blair Gibson of Mt. Brydges, Carmen and his wife Verna of London, Dona and her husband Fred Johnston of Harrietsville, Doris and her husband Lloyd Grove of London, Stanley and his wife Barb of Kilworth Heights, Joh and his wife Lynda of Glencoe and Mary and her husband Larry Grove of St. Thomas. She will be dearly missed by her 28 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Beatrice Goodman, her borther John Swindell, son-in-law Carman Hourd and her granddaughter Victoria. Survived by her sister-in-law Verlyn Swindell and family. Jeffrey Gordon Haney of Tillsonburg, Ontario passed away suddenly at Tillsonburg Memorial Hospital on July 18th, 2000, in his 38th year. Beloved husband of Jody Haney (Minty). Loving brother of Caren Haney of London, Cathy and Louis DeBruyne of Tillsonburg, Cindy and Marvin Corless of RR#1, Springfield, Jim and Linda Haney of Tillsonburg. Uncle of Jason and Stacey Wall, Jeremy Wall and friend Brandi, Samantha Haney and friend Pete, Kelly Corless and friend Richard Corless, Tanya DeBruyne and friend Doug and Nicholas DeBruyne. Great uncle to Dylan and Zoe. Also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by parents Harold and Georgina Haney and sister Christine Wall. Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus, on Thursday, July 20, 2000. Mr. Archie Hoggarth in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Helen (Britton) Hoggarth, loving father of Jane Dilworth and her husband Geoff of London, Bruce and his wife Ilona of Chaska, Minnesota, and Katherine Karbownik and her husband Richard of Toronto. Beloved grandfather of Rob and Jennifer Dilworth and Allison and Melanie Hoggarth. Brother of Gordon Hoggarth of Exeter. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Mr. Hoggarth dedicated 38 years to the education system and was a former principal of A.B. Lucas Secondary School and Clarke Road Secondary School. He was an elder of New St. James Presbyterian Church. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the James A Harris Funeral Home, Richmond Street at St. James, where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, July 24, at 11:00 a.m. by the Rev. KLEINSTEUBER
Garnet Ross Kleinsteuber, born August 1, 1918, passed away peacefully in the presence of God on Tuesday, July 18, 2000 at McCormick Home, London, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents Milton and Ethel (nee Akey) Kleinsteuber, brother Raymond, sister Pearl and grandson Darryl Kleinsteuber. Beloved husband of Vera (nee Andrews) Kleinsteuber. Dearly loved father of Neil and Roselyne Kleinsteuber of Winnipeg, Brian and Judy Kleinsteuber of Strathroy, Robin and Sonya Kleinsteuber of London and Anne Klein of London. Sadly missed by grandchildren Steven, Lianne, Darlene and Keryk. Fondly remembered by great-grandchildren Samantha, Michelle and April. Retired M.W.O. with R.C.A.F. for 32 years, with tours of service in Canada, France and Germany and subsequent employment in civilian business. After a short illness on Wednesday, July 19th, 2000 at London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus, Kenneth Christopher Lowe of Oneida in his 1st year. Beloved son of Shana Elijah and Christopher Lowe, both of Oneida. Dear brother of twin sister Kendall. Dear grandson of Lee and Tracey Doxtator and Kenny and Billy Summers and Stanford Hill Jr., all of Oneida. Sadly missed by great-grandparents Stanford Sr. and Joyce Hill, Dan Elijah and the late Teresa, and Mercy and the late Kenny Summers. Will be sadly missed by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
